Rev. Bob & Lorita Melton

Costa Rica is an independent country in Central America. It has had a stable, democratic political system for over 100 years. In matters of war and peace, the army-less Costa Rican's generally opt for peace. This position has helped the country avoid the turmoil afflicting its neighbors to the north and south.

The Costa Rican people (called "Ticos") are proud of their unique culture. Family values are sacred and children are given royalty status.

The country is quite mountainous. Generally every turn in the road results in another spectacular view. The highest mountain, Chirripo, is 13,000 feet and is quite close to San Isidro, our nearest city. (My property is located approximately at the arrow.)
